Okay, I know the decorations have only been down for a few weeks, but I as part of my 365 crafty projects challenge I thought I would share some Christmas projects with you throughout the year on the 25th of each month.
Believe it or not, there are some people who will already be thinking about making their Christmas cards……I won’t be making any until March as we start making 1 Christmas card each month at my card club from April onwards. You can find out more about my card club in Titchfield, Hampshire, here.
This first card is great for using all those odds and ends of ribbon that you collect but don’t know what to do with, it would also work with strips of patterned paper too.
I have cut an ornament from the white card using the Holiday Ornaments framelits and then laid it ontop of the red card blank and drawn around the image with a pencil. I then covered the pencil image with pieces of the jumbo sticky rounds double sided tape. You could use snail or any double sided tape but it needs to be fully covered. I then just stuck down random pieces of ribbon until I was happy with the design. the white layer was then popped up onto dimensionals.
And card number 2, this is using products that will be leaving the catalogues in 6 days……..so if you want them you need to get them now !!!!!
A Real Red card blank and the white card layer has been embossed using the Holiday frame embossing folder. Rudolph and the oval frame is stamped on whisper white card from the Joyous Celebrations stamp set and then punched out using the large oval punch. The sentiment is from the same set and punched out with the Small Oval punch and no it’s not a new punch behind it, it is the ever useful Modern Label punch I have just cut a chunk from the middle and stuck the 2 halves together, to frame the oval.
So do leave me a comment about your Christmas crafting…….!
