I thought I would show you a butterfly card today, but this time focussing on the negative space not the positive space. The easiest way to make sure the punches align is to punch the bitty butterfly out first and then the artisan label punch, you can make sure it’s straight then. I have placed it over some circles of patterned paper which is a great way to use those tiny scraps you keep saving but that aren’t big enough for cards.
I’ve got butterflies on the brain at the moment, I’ve been using them on some of the swaps I’ve been making for the cruise I have punched hundreds, the poor punch is groaning and my hand is aching! But it’s all in a good cause because I will get some lovely projects back.
You may not have heard me talk about swaps before, swaps take place at all Stampin’ Up! events, we make a designated number of items, cards, 3d items such as boxes or scrapbooking pages whatever we have agreed and then we swap with that number of people. for the cruise we are making 25, so I will have 25 amazing samples to show you when I get home, made by a variety of demonstrators from around the world.
It’s really exciting!
Well I have 2 days left and over 50 things on my to do list…… so I better get going and get it DONE !
