Blue skies, sun is shining and it’s a Super Saturday ! Oh and I’m finally feeling human again! Voice is back, cough almost gone and a rare weekend off! Kids are both busy so you would think I have a weekend lazing in my hammock reading my many books planned, well I did but it seems Brian has other plans, that include 350 bricks and a 850kg bag of sand.
To be fair, it’s a long task we have in front of us, the brick wall that runs down the side of the house needs to be stabilised and the top three rows replaced and pillars built too, so it’s going to be several weekends and a week in August too, and the best bit about that week in August my Dad is coming to help so I get to spend time with both Mum and Dad.
So we’ve moved the bricks……..twice ! Shovelled, wheel barrowed and shovelled again the entire builders bag of sand to move it to it’s new home, re-arranged the side garden, dug holes for footings, mixed concrete, made footings and then put everything back! Phew.
So no I didn’t get to lie in my hammock, but now I’m showered an evening curled up with my book and a glass of wine is definitely the way to go!
I have a card for you today that is one we made at Card Club this month using Awesomely Artistic, a bit grungy, but I like it, the bricks are sponged to give them definition. I hope you like it.
I really hope Stampin’ Up! comes out with a matching Dragonfly punch or Framelits soon ! There was some grumbling at Card Club about the fussy cutting out ! You see Stampin’ Up! spoil us with matching punches !!!!!
