It’s the 1st Wednesday of the month so its time for another Stamping Techniques to Try Blog Hop, I’m going to be using Dragonfly Dreams!

This month we are focussing on 2 Step Stamping, or 3 or 4 step even. Of course there was no contest for me, my go to 2 step stamping set is Dragonfly Dreams.

I love the details and the realistic Dragonfly image and it’s so easy to get a lined up perfect image every time as the stamp set is photopolymer.  I stamped the Dragonfly image in Dapper Denim first and then inked up the wings with a Pool Party ink pad and highlighted it using markers in Wild Wasabi and Crushed Curry.  Adding the markers gives it a mottled effect perfect for the wings.

You can see in the close up how you can see over the top to line up the stamp, that is the beauty of these 2 step stamps.

I then highlighted the wings using Wink of Stella, I don’t think the camera can pick it up but is gives a really subtle shimmer to the wings.  Once I had stamped the greeting I embossed the whole card front using Softly fallings great embossing folder.
