An all blue card for you today, not too much of a surprise since it’s my favourite colour. Also a dragonfly, I’m sure you’ve noticed I like them too. That’s how this Dragonfly Dreams Bokeh Dots card was born.
So the background stamp is Bokeh Dots on page 153 of the Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue and it’s a “Distinktive” stamp The stamps made with this distinktive process lay down the ink at different opacities giving the finished image more depth.
You need to have the right amount of ink for these stamps, not enough will please empty patches too much ink ( which is usually the problem) means bubbles and puddles of ink. So if you find your ink pad is too juicy, just use a sponge dauber to apply the ink as shown in the video below. Or you can push the ink to one edge of the ink pad using the back of a spoon.
I’m sure you will be asking the Happy Birthday greeting is from Southern Serenade, I seem to be using it on lots of cards lately!
They are such a great range of stamps, here is a video Stampin’ Up! made about them.

This is the first time I have seen the Bokeh Dots stamp.
Amanda, you did a beautiful job creating this. Did you use Coastal Cabanna CS and the same color of ink on the Bokeh Dots stamp to create the background image.
The Dragon fly is my favorite stamp.
HI Lora
Thank you for your message, I did use the same colour ink as card stock. Kind regards Amanda
