I have a video today for you, that is going to help you with your gift giving. It’s a Gift Pouch, or a Gift Bag, I haven’t really decided what to call it….. Perhaps you could leave me a comment and say what you think it looks like best, you’ll see in the video I call it both. Clearly, I’m confused! So I designed this for my team in the 6″ x 6″ size. Then I decided I could easily make it 12″ x12″ and of course I wouldn’t stop there so there is an 8″ and a 10″ version as well. That’s 4 gift pouches for you and all your gift giving needs! the base is square and the top flat.
It is so quick to make too, it takes me longer to tie the bow than it does to make the pouch/bag. Below you will find the video and scroll further down for all the measurements, you make all the sizes in the same way. Just start with a different size of paper.

Measurements
6″ x 6″ Patterned Paper
- Score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ quarter turn with the smallest scoreline at the bottom and score at 1 3/8″
- Flip over and score from the edge to the scoreline at 1 3/8″ and 4 1/8″
8″ x 8″ Patterned Paper
- Score at 3 1/2″ and 7″ quarter turn with the smallest scoreline at the bottom and score at 1 3/4″
- Flip over and score from the edge to the scoreline at 1 3/4″ and 5 1/4″
10″ x 10″ Patterned Paper
- Score at 4 1/2″ and 9″ quarter turn with the smallest scoreline at the bottom and score at 2 1/4″
- Flip over and score from the edge to the scoreline at 2 1/4″ and 6 3/4″
12″ x 12″ Patterned Paper
- Score at 5 1/2″ and 11″ quarter turn with the smallest scoreline at the bottom and score at 2 3/4″
- Flip over and score from the edge to the scoreline at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″
