Today my dad is 77, he’s celebrating with my Mum on a trip to Devon and Cornwall so we aren’t celebrating with him but I did get to speak to him this morning! I’m very pleased to say he loved his card made using the Swirly Bird Stamp Set. I know there isn’t a bird on the card, but it is the right set I promise!
The background is Blueberry Bushel ink stamped onto the same colour cardstock, one of my favourite things to do it gives a great tone on tone effect. I then water-colour washed with Balmy Blue ink onto Shimmery white card. Shimmery white card is my preferred card for any kind of water colouring, it looks fab and the very gentle shimmer gives a great look to the card. I stamped the elements of the boat and cut them out and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from Perennial birthday!
