What is not to love about hat wearing Meerkats? It’s no wonder its one of the most popular redemptions for FREE Sale-a-bration goodies. Now there are a few sneaky hints and tips for this card, can you tell what they are?
First up, punch the flower out of the middle of the patterned paper, that way you can pop the stamped image over the top and no-one will know there is a hole. Second, to make the Happy Birthday banner I stamped the full sentiment and trimmed it down. Third, I used a barely damp aqua painter to colour in the meerkats, pulling a tiny bit of colour out from the stamped image to give them dimension. Finally the hats are slightly 3D. So I stamped them in Terracotta Tile ink onto the meerkats and then stamped them again on Very Vanilla Card stock. I then cut out the triangle of the hat, I didn’t leave a border and then stuck it over the top of the stamped image.
