I am so missing the sea. It’s strange, but not surprising, whenever we are told we can’t do something we want to do it….. Go on a diet and you want to eat cake. I’m not sure that’s a great description because I want to eat cake all the time, but you know what I mean!
You never realise the things you take for granted until they are not available, and I will be very grateful when the restrictions are lifted and we can all do those things we are missing. #stayathome is so important we can do this together! However, I can share cards I’ve made with the sea and the Sailing Home Stamp set using the marker to block water colour technique just in case you miss the sea too.
I used the same technique of markers on an acrylic block that I shared on my Facebook live 2 weeks ago, I’ll pop the link below so you can watch it if you haven’t seen it yet. the colours of markers I used are Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy. To get the waves I used the Boat stamp upside down.
The rest of the card is simple stamping, just make sure that the background is fully dry before you add the birds or the ink will bleed.

I hope you are having a great Wednesday, it seems like I’m getting into a bit better routine as I’m remembering which day of the week it is! that’s what 3 days off does for you! I didn’t work the weekend or Monday, I can recommend taking a break.
That’s all from me for today, I have asparagus to cut and then a risotto to make. One of the best gardening decisions we made was to plant asparagus crowns, we eat like kings for 6 weeks of the asparagus cutting season.
